Run-out to Goathland
We set out in dry weather but still a bit chilly for the run up to Goathland,
stopping for a brew at Fimber cafe on the way (excellent cakes)
After a grand run across the North Yorks Moors, we parked up by invitation outside
Scripps garage in Goathland (famous as Aidensfield Garage in "Heartbeat")
Some of us then carried on to Whitby, while the rest of us diverted to Levisham
station (serious hills) and then via unmade roads through Cropton Forest, back to
Pickering and then to Beverley.
Final tally was eight Enfields, one Triumph and two Hondas. |
