Hi there

Here is our latest news – we want you to be the first to know.

We have been working hard to get the best line-up we can for you to make your visit to the festival a great experience. So far we have confirmed as one of our headline acts - The Proclaimers - The festival is well known for bringing top artists to Beverley, and The Proclaimers will be no exception. Strikingly individual, the twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid have over the years enjoyed huge success across the globe as the emotional honesty, political fire, wit and sing-along raucousness of their songs and their extensive touring has enlightened and entertained fans new and old. They have carved out a niche for themselves in the netherworld where pop, folk, new wave and punk collide. In the process they have enjoyed Gold and Platinum singles and albums in UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The festival now welcomes them to Yorkshire!
They will be finishing off the Festival on SUNDAY night so make sure you are there!

To start off the weekend on FRIDAY night, we are extremely pleased to welcome the lead singer of former Scottish pop acoustic group Fairground Attraction, Eddi Reader.

We are particularly happy that this year we will see the Demon Barber Roadshow at the festival after having to cancel their last performance at last notice. They will be giving us a true feel for English Traditional music in a new and dynamic way. They should help set off the Saturday night with a good party atmosphere.

Back again after their brilliant performance two years ago will be Roy Bailey & Tony Benn, who will no doubt have something to say following our impending General Election! So make sure you get to see them on SUNDAY Afternoon

Developing further our Americana theme, we are delighted to welcome back from the USA, Jeni & Billy, who won many fans at last year's festival. For the first time, and also from the USA will be Jerry Harmon who was born into a family rich in the tradition of music in the foothills of the Blue Ridge / Appalachian mountains. “Jerry Harmon is one of the best authentic artists you can find that is unblemished by the main-stream.”
Ricky Skaggs “Discovering Jerry Harmon recently at the Bath Music Festival was a sheer delight! Listening to his southern drawl he could be nothing else but a country singer. Jerry’s songs such as ‘Food On The Table’ and ‘Back To The Country’ is country music at its best, real down home country sweet as your mamas apple pie…”

Further adding to our Americana theme, we are extremely pleased to welcome back, by popular demand, Gandalf Murphy & the Slambovian Circus of Dreams. The group made a flying visit to the festival last year but this year, we are delighted to say that they will be spending more time with us on SATURDAY night

Another festival favourite, Martin Simpson, will be bringing his trio to the festival this year. We want to congratulate him on his BBC Radio 2 Folk Award, for Best Traditional Song. Performing SATURDAY

We are really pleased to welcome back Rory Motion - one of our favourite artists.Performing SATURDAY and SUNDAY Rory will also be performing at our Festival Preview Concert at Hull Truck on Sunday 13th June - 7.30pm

This year there will be a Headphone Hooley on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from midnight - 2.00am. The disco will feature all your favourite tracks from your most loved Folk, Roots, Acoustic and World artists.
